Python Job: Software Developer

Metal Biz Recyclers is one of the leading metal recycling companies in QLD with four branches across Brisbane. We are looking for experienced Software Developer Programmer to support our team based at Rocklea.

Role and Responsibilities: -

• Identifying technology limitations and deficiencies in existing systems and associated processes, procedures and methods.
• Testing, debugging, diagnosing and correcting errors and faults in an applications programming language within established testing protocols, guidelines and quality standards to ensure programs and applications perform to specification.
• Assist the Director and Operations Manager to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximise revenue and margin for the organisation by providing excellent internal computer systems.
• Assist the company to improve the overall performance of service to clients.
• Researching, consulting, analyzing and evaluating system program needs.
• Develop strategy to access to provide accurate data information at all times.
• Drive the development of the internal software package to meet the demand of incoming materials and track its whereabouts.
• Create material tracking plans in line with the company strategic plans.
• Developing software for Metalbiz and other key customers in dedicated markets.
• Work with suppliers as required to create strategic IT requirements to meet new product requirements to add value to the supply chain and improve the supply options of the business.
• Ensure effective and efficient communication with customers, suppliers, shareholders and other stakeholders through the use of our internal software.
• Submit weekly progress reports.
• writing and maintaining program code to meet system requirements, system designs and technical specifications in accordance with quality accredited standards.
• writing, updating and maintaining technical program, end user documentation and operational procedures.
• providing advice, guidance and expertise in developing proposals and strategies for software design activities such as financial evaluation and costing for recommending software purchases and upgrades.

Qualification and Skills
Bachelors in IT or closely relevant degree

• Experience in Metal Recycling Industry related software development.
• Development experience in Microsoft ASP.NET C#, Web Forms and database development experience in Microsoft SQL Server required.
• API integrations
• Worked with web applications
• Good command over Laravel, JavaScript, PHP and Python.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
